THINGS TO KNOW
  • Camp is for boys & girls, 7-16 years old.
  • ​Our mailing address only is 4010 Dean Road, Marion, NY 14505.  It is not the location of camp. Camp is located in Hunt, NY.
  • We can accommodate gluten and lactose intolerant diets only.
  • The dates for camp are August 10, 2023 at 2:30 PM through August 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
  • Volunteers are always needed. An application, interview and background check will be conducted. No one is paid within Camp Celiac Strong, and we are grateful for our volunteers, including our activities counselors that help make camp so much fun.
  • Only 70 campers accepted! Please register early, submit payment, and return all necessary documents in entirety to secure your reservation.
  • If you would like to room with a friend, please be sure to mention it in the camper form, once accepted and we will do our very best to accommodate. When arriving, do not ask children to move from their established bunks.
  • All correspondences are completed by email. Please save our email address to your contacts so that our correspondences don't end up in your spam folder: CeliacStrongCamp@gmail.com
Registration costs
Camp fee is $275

Early Bird Sale (before 3/1/2023):

If you pay before March 1st, receive a $50 discount.
Pay $225* if before March 1st.
Also receive a $25 discount for additional siblings attending camp. Your first camper would be only $225 and each additional sibling attending would be $200 each.

For example: 
  • If you have two children registering and are paying before March 1st, your total registration cost would be $225 + $200 = $425*
  • If paying before March 1 and you have three campers, your fee would be $225 + $200 + $200 = $625*

After the Early Bird Sale (between 3/1/2023 and 4/15/2023):
Pay $275* for first camper. If you register two or more of your children, you will receive a $25 discount on each additional child. All fees are due by 4/15/2023.


For example: 
  • If you are registering two children and will pay after March 1st, your total registration cost would be $275 + $250 = $525*
  • If you are registering three of your children, and are paying after March 1, fees would be $275 + $250 + $250 = $775*

There are no registration fees for volunteers. If you register and cannot attend, we ask that you reimburse Celiac Strong Camp $25 for the completed background check.

Refunds
Camp registration is refundable only if your camper's reservation can be filled by a registration on the waiting list. No refunds will be possible after April 25, 2023 - no exceptions.

Steps to Register:


For Campers

1. Registration Request Form, ages 7-16 must first be completed.
  • They will be accepted from February 1 to April 15 (unless we reach capacity, and then a waitlist will begin).
  • We will contact you as soon as possible as to whether your camper is accepted. Thank you for your patience.
  • Please complete one registration request form per camper. 
  • Children must be between ages 7 and 16 on the start date of camp.

2. Payment
  • Immediately after you receive your email confirmation of your camper's acceptance, please make your payment by either mailing it in or paying online. 
  • Pay by March 1st for Early Bird discounts. After March 1st, must pay regular prices. All payments are due April 15th.

3. Receive Packet via email.
  • When payment is received, as a receipt, you will be emailed a camper packet. 
  • Please add our email address to your contacts to try to prevent us from landing in your spam, CeliacStrongCamp@gmail.com.

4.  Return Packet.

  • Postmarked by May 15.  
  • PLEASE PRINT SINGLE-SIDED AND RETURN ALL PAGES, EVEN IF NO MEDICATION IS REQUIRED.
  • This packet is part of the registration process - your child will be officially considered registered once this packet is received, and we will send you a confirmation email.  ​

For Volunteers & CIT's

1. Volunteer/CIT Request Form, ages 18 and up must first be completed. 
  • Forms will be accepted from February 1st to March 15th. We will notify volunteers by April 15th.

​2. No payment necessary. It is free to volunteer at camp!

3. Packets will be emailed once your form is submitted.
  • Please add our email address to your address book to prevent us from landing in your spam, CeliacStrongCamp@gmail.com.​​

4. Online Safety Training
  • An email will bee sent to you from Averity. This our background check company. Please complete the application and complete the online child safety training.

5.  Return Packet. 
  • Postmarked by May 15.

IMPORTANT CAMP DATES

February 1 - Registration opens until booked or April 15, whichever comes first. If the camp books up, you may register to join the waiting list.  

February 1 through March 1 - Early Bird Discount applies if payment received by March 1st.


April 1 - Volunteers will be notified by this date as they are selected.  

April 15 - Registration closed. All payments are due for camp registration to be final.

May 15 - Camp forms are due. This is a vital process of registration to be complete. Receipts and confirmations will be issued.

August 10 - Camp check in begins at 2:30 pm (volunteers and their children only, please arrive at 9:00 am as we begin orientation at 9:30 am).

August 13 - Camp check out at 2:00 pm.
